Connelly Award

John & Marilyn Connelly Award

The John & Marilyn Connelly honorary award is open for nominations. Each year, this award is given to the classroom teacher, media specialist, or technology specialist who is judged to have demonstrated the power of student-produced media. The individual should have a record of performance in utilizing student-produced media across a variety of disciplines.

All are welcome to nominate candidates. Nominations should cover the extent to which the candidate has demonstrated a commitment to the use of student-produced media. In addition, the nomination should describe, in detail, how the individual has encouraged students to produce media projects related to the curriculum and standards. Weight will be given to individuals who have demonstrated an ability to utilize limited resources to allow their students to create and communicate using media.

The nominations should be no more than 500 words and be submitted by September 18, 2009. The award of $1000 and a beautiful trophy will be presented at the Festival to the individual selected.
