Two-Day Event: Custom NASA Tour and Workshop

lift off We have an exciting pre-festival event scheduled in Florida this year. Join us for A Salute to Science at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 with a follow-up student workshop on Thursday, November 6, 2008.

The Salute to Science program is a two-day custom experience. Day 1 is spent at the world’s busiest spaceport. Participants will board a bus at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando and will meet up with the NASA Education team at the KSC to begin the adventure.  As a special guest, you will meet astronaut John Blaha, participate in a team-based engineering challenge, and have lunch with NASA rockets. You'll also have the opportunity to see what it feels like to be strapped into a launching Space Shuttle, watch 3D IMAX and interactive shows, and learn more about astronauts and spacecraft. Day 2 offers a special opportunity for students who participate in Day 1. You will produce a multimedia presentation based on your experiences at the KSC.
